WHAT IS CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a non-intoxicating part of the cannabis plant that has therapeutic potential and a history as a medicine that goes back thousands of years. CBD and Tetrahydrocannabinol(THC) are two of the most known natural phytocannabinoids. CBD is a naturally occurring chemical substance that is used in oils, topicals and more that supports a sense of calmness and overall wellness by bringing the body into a state of homeostasis (balance). This helps the brain & body to be able to continually heal itself. CBD is 100% non-psychoactive and does not induce any kind of “high” or negatively impact your cognitive function.

IS CBD LEGAL?

CBD is legal under federal law since the Agricultural Improvement Act, known as the Farm Bill, passed in December 2018. Individual states may govern hemp-derived CBD differently. Hemp was removed from the list of controlled substances by the 2018 bill. No prescription is needed to purchase CBD that is derived from the hemp plant and meets the legal limit of .3 or less THC.

The ECS helps to regulate functions such as sleep, immune system responses, and pain. The body creates compounds called endocannabinoids, hemp
produces compounds called phytocannabinoids. When your body is given phytocannabinoids the ECS can function like it’s supposed to and you will find yourself in a better state of homeostasis mentally and physically. Scientists believe that the Endocannabinoid System’s true purpose is to help the body establish and maintain good health.

WHAT IS THE PROPER DOSAGE FOR CBD?

There is not a set dosage that universally works for everyone. A person’s age, weight and their ailment are all are factors that go into finding the proper dose. An effective dosage can range from as listless as a few milligrams of CBD-enriched cannabis oil to 100mg or more.
Begin with a small dose of CBD oil, especially if you have little to no
experience with CBD. Use the same dose twice a day for 1-2 days. Observe the effects and if necessary adjust the ratio amount.produces compounds called phytocannabinoids.
